Collaborative R+D projects with companies in order to improve competitiveness and the development of new products/processes/services.
The Transportation and Energy Division pursues its activity in four areas: railway transportation (including research lines on railway dynamics, signaling systems, an efficient system for assisting steering and infrastructure maintenance); aircraft transportation (including on-board devices, and tracking of structural health, monitoring systems and electronic components); road transportation (electric vehicle components and intelligent transport systems); and smart systems and components for energy detection.
The ICT Division focuses its research on the design of sensing devices and communications systems. Its proven track record in applied research has enabled it to develop state-of-the-art sensors, antennas, analog integrated electronics up to mmWave and digital integrated circuits. The division also has wide experience in signal processing and data processing algorithms, in addition to deployment via embedded systems such as microprocessors, DSPs and FPGAs.
